Creative Indoor Activities Perfect for Keeping Your Children Busy!
Parents do really have to get really active to entertain their young children. Since everyone is stuck at home since the past three months, keeping the tiny tots busy can be a herculean task. However, to your rescue we’ve come up with some creative activity ideas for your perusal. Try it out to keep them entertained as these are super educational and fun as well.
Family photo tree
Improve your child’s memory and help him learn who’s who in your family with a photo tree. Take some family photos and arrange them into rows of descending order. Help them draw a tree from where different branches pop’s out to represent the various members of the family!
Cookie Pizzas
Even the most domestically challenged chef can pull off this sweet and simple project. Slice several thick cookies from a roll of refrigerated sugar-cookie dough. Flatten them a bit, bake, and cool for about 10 minutes. Next, decorate the cookies with strawberry jam for sauce, shredded coconut for cheese, and gems for pepperoni.
Fun storytelling
Start reading one of your child’s favorite books. When you get to a critical point in the action, challenge him to take charge of the tale and add his own twist. This activities allows the children to think and helps them come up with creative ideas.
DIY bowling
For this you’ll need small, empty water bottles and a rubber ball. Transform the family room into a bowling alley by lining the bottles strategically. Six bottles should suffice for bowling pins. However, if the bottles fall over too easily, fill them up with a little water for some extra weight.
Movie Time!
At some point even, the most creative parent is going to have to resort to some good old TV time. Keep a hidden stash of DVDs that you only pull out during cozy weather days! Ask them to recommend some movies and microwave some popcorn and peanut butter sandwiches and you’re ready for the night.
These activities are not only truly fun but helps you bond with them as well, especially if both the parents are working from home. Meanwhile, if you want to get them admitted post the lockdown, please check out the website of a renowned school for the Don Bosco school admission form.
